Arena Football teams are divided on the basis of 2 primary conference, namely, the American conference and the National Conference. These are further bifurcated into four divisions, namely the central, western, eastern and the southern division. The Central and Western division are part of the American Conference and Eastern and Southern Divisions lies under the National Conference.
Under the American conference, Central division comprises of 5 teams namely:
Colorado Crush.
Chicago Rush.
Kansas City Brigade.
Grand Rapid’s Rampage.
Nashville Kats.
Under the American conference, Western division comprises of 5 teams namely:
Arizona Rattlers.
Los Angeles Avengers.
Las Vegas Gladiators.
Utah Blaze.
San Jose Saber cats.
The National Conference:
The National conference Eastern Division includes the following teams:
New York Dragons.
Columbus Destroyers.
Dallas Desperados.
Philadelphia Soul.
The National conference Southern Division includes the following teams:
Austin Wranglers.
Orlando Predators.
Georgia Force.
New Orleans Voodoo.
Tampa Bay Storm.
There are numerous defunct teams of Arena Football which are no longer in existence. These include the Indiana Firebirds, Detroit Fury, and Carolina Cobras to name a few. Each team contains a roster of itself which includes significant details such as the position of the player, weight, height, birth date, experience and the college or university that the individual belongs to. The inaugural season of AFL was in the year 1987 when only four teams were introduced into the sport of Arena football. These were the Chicago Bruisers, Pittsburgh Gladiators, Denver Dynamite and Washington Commandos.
